Some things are best not forgotten.

Mun: is in front of her computer contemplating her next post when Ju falls in the door, locks it, puts a chair under the doorknob, then hides behind the computer desk.  She looks under the keyboard holder.

Problem?

Ju:  Shhh…I don’t want her to find me.

Mun:  Who?  Aya?  You know she’s going to look in here.

Ju:  I’m hoping she won’t see me down here.

Mun:  I’m afraid to ask.

Ju:  It’s H’s fault.  He made us all do it.  I just forgot and wore the damn thing home instead of changing before I left.

Mun:  Wore what?  I know you’ve had problems with her when your hair is all black like it is which I think really looks sexy on you too but what in the world could you possibly wear that would push her buttons that badl….oh dear.  You didn’t?

Ju wails:  I FORGOT!

Mun is going to pat him on the head when there’s a loud bang at the door.  Looks down as Ju mouths “save me”.  sighs.

Mun:  You know that won’t stop her.

True enough.  Aya waltzes in from the back door.

Aya:  Where is he?  I know he’s hiding somewhere the wimp.

Mun:  Tell me.  Why is he hiding missy?

Aya gets a dreamy look on her face:  He came in dressed in a kimono.

Mun:  Knowing you, he was attacked before he got in the door good.

Aya: grins

Mun:  glances down at computer desk and places a finger against her lips.  Aya gets the hint.

Mun:  Aya you know you can’t be attacking him like that.  I know him in a kimono pushes your buttons like you doing the pole dance pushes his but cut the man some slack.  He’s just getting too old to keep up with you.

Aya:  Maybe you’re right.  Maybe I’ll just limit him to once a week.  One time once a week shouldn’t tax him too much.  giggles at the sputter she hears at that

Mun:  I’m sure he can handle that as long as you aren’t too rough with him.  He is an old coot and is probably not sure if he can please….

Ju comes from under the desk all righteous indignation.  Excuse me?  Who says I’m too old?  Let me at her and I’ll show you too old.  grabs his wife’s hand and drags her out of the room after unblocking and unlocking the door.  Aya gives the mun a wink and waves bye.

Mun:  That was easier then I thought it would be.  goes back to thinking about next post and wonders if both muses will survive

Since V had wrapped up their new song, they were taking a month off.  Ju took that opportunity to do absolutely nothing at all.   He tinkered around in the shop a little, watched a lot of soccer matches, hung out with Acchan and chased Aya around.  He’d let the dye grow out of his hair which was longish for him and a little ragged around the edges.  He and Apollo spent a lot of time in the dog parks and walking and because of this Ju had lost weight but had toned up some.

Aya on the other hand was busy with private jobs, keeping an eye on Hana and her pregnancy, being chased by her husband and making sure that Apollo and Sona didn’t tear up the flat.  Apollo seemed to think that Sona was a playmate.  Sona had other ideas.  While Sona didn’t really do anything that would hurt the pup, she wasn’t playing when she swatted at him but he didn’t seem to notice.

Her latest job had kept her from home for a whole week.  She was happy to see the place was in relatively good shape when she got in though her magnificent beast and his new best bud were nowhere to be found.  She scooped up her kitty when Sona met her at the door and petted the cat until she purred.  After checking her litter box which someone had cleaned amazingly enough, she made sure that both animal’s dishes were full of food and water then went to shower.  She had her head in the frig contemplating dinner when her husband sauntered in, Apollo announcing his pleasure at seeing her with yips and a lot of tail or nub wagging.   When Ju came over and gave her a kiss she wrinkled her nose up.

“You smell like you’ve been rolling around in the grass with your puppy.   What have you been doing?”

Ju took a whiff of his clothing and grinned.  “I was rolling around in the grass with my puppy.  What else?”

Aya just shook her head.  “Shower while I fix dinner.  You can tell me about your week when you are clean.”  She pushed him toward their bedroom.  “Git!  You reek.  How am I going to climb into your lap with you smelling like that?”  Since Ju liked it when she crawled into his lap, he hurried to get clean.  Dinner was ready when he came out and dessert was Aya crawling into his lap amongst other things.

The next day Ju had a meeting early.  His spitfire was still sleeping when he left.  Since he’d let her know about it, she’d fixed him something for breakfast that he could warm up in the microwave.  She’d chastised him for missing meals while she was gone.  She could tell by the amount of food that was still in the fridge.  He let Apollo out into the back lot to do his thing while he ate, then retrieved the pup, made sure he had fresh water, then hit the road.

When he got back, Aya’s car was gone and she’d left him lunch and a note saying she had some errands to run.  He sighed.  He’d hoped to get a bone jumping in but since his jumpee was out he figured he might as well hit the shop and see what he could do.  It’d been a while since he’d done anything shop wise and he enjoyed helping out.  Before he knew it dinner time had rolled around.  He headed upstairs to shower and change.

When he got into the flat he noticed that Aya had come in.  It was odd that she hadn’t come down to the shop since she hadn’t seen him all day.  He shrugged and headed into the bedroom figuring that she was probably in there.  She was and the sight of her stopped him in his tracks with a very puzzled though pleased look on his face.

Aya was dressed in the shortest pair of denim shorts Ju had ever seen that weren’t panties, a plaid shirt that was at least a size, maybe two, too small considering how the buttons were straining not to pop, a leather belt with toy gardening tools hanging from it and a grin that let him know fun times were on the way.  He raised an eyebrow.

Uhm…Aya?  Since when did we have a garden?”

Aya walked over to him, took a deep breath and stepped back.  “I noticed one of our trees was in need of some care.  First thing is watering.  It needs the refreshing aspects of a nice watering down.”  She pointed to the bathroom.  Ju grinned.  “So I’m a tree now?”

Aya nodded.  “Yep.  Watering first. Now go.”  He did and found that she’d put out some bath salts that he liked and had let half a tub of very hot water run.  He figured that since she didn’t know when he’d be up, he’d have enough room in the tub to adjust the temp which he did.  He sighed when he finally eased into the tub.  Between playing with Apollo and doing some honest to goodness shop work, his muscles needed the soothing warmth of the water.  He looked up when Aya walked into the bathroom, scissors and his shaving kit in hand.

“Now that the tree is getting some water, it’s time for a trim.  It’s looking way too ragged for my tastes.”

Ju pouted.  “So you don’t like my rugged look?”

Aya giggled.  “Rugged to you.  Ragged to me.  It’s all in that one consonant.  One way or the other you need a trim.”

She set about washing his hair which got some groans of pleasure from her husband since he loved scalp massages.   She trimmed the split ends in his hair then waited until he’d gotten out of the bath to work on the scraggly beard and faint mustache he had.  She gave a nod after she was done.  “Let’s see.  Watering. Check.  Trimming.  Check.  Now plant food.”

She pushed him into the kitchen after he’d put on a yukata, sat him down in a chair, climbed into his lap and began to feed him bits of food between quick kisses.  It was during one of those kisses when the buttons at the top of her shirt decided to just end it all and popped off exposing a lot of pert breast.  Ju immediately stopped nibbling on food and started nibbling on them.

Aya pulled his head up after he’d enjoyed them for a bit.  “I think it’s time for me to do some tree climbing.  Guess who’s supplying the limb.”   She waggled her eyebrows at him which got the man grinning at least until she slid out of his lap.  That got a pout and a glare.

“I was enjoying my lumberjack wife in my lap.  My…limb…is getting cold.”

Aya pulled her hair out of the ponytail it was in and shook it out.  She took off the shirt and threw it over one shoulder as she gave her husband a look that made him moan.  “I think it’s time to plant that tree in a new bed so I can climb it properly.”   She headed toward the bedroom dropping the removed belt on the floor.

“Hey Aya?  Aren’t you going to need some tools for that?”  Aya stopped.  “I think I’ve got all the tools I’m going to need unless you have some suggestions.”   She stepped out of her shorts as she talked and Ju could see that they may as well have been panties since she wasn’t wearing any under them.  He got a look on his face that would have given Aya pause if she’d seen it.  She hadn’t and he made sure his limb didn’t break while she climbed to her heart’s content.

mun is having breakfast when Aya strolls in dressed or half-way dressed in a gold brocade qipao dress that is slit up to there while the top plunges down to that.

mun:  How you can be dressed and look almost naked is beyond me.

Aya:  Yesss.

mun:  Hmm…I take it that you have been entertaining that man of yours for his birthday.

Aya:  Yesss.

mun:  I’ll take it from the spaced out look on your face that he enjoyed himself.

Aya:  Yesss.

mun:  So what did you give him?

Aya leans down in mun’s face and gives her a smile that makes her eyes get wide:  As much of me as he could handle.

mun:  Since you aren’t crying I’m going to assume he’s still breathing.

Aya:  Yesss.

mun:  Woman will you stop that?  You’re beginning to freak me out.  Where is the birthday boy right now?

Ju walks in dressed in pajama bottoms and nothing else with the same spaced out look on his face.  Looks down at mun.

Ju:  Yesss.

mun:  I don’t think I even want to know.  Happy birthday handsome.  Now get out and take that space cadet wife of yours with you.  And Ju…you missed a few buttons on that dress.  I hope you aren’t getting too old to be the pervert you claim to be.

Ju looks over at Aya and whatever was on his face made her flee the room.  Laughs maniacally and runs after her making grabby hands.

mun watches them leave and shakes her head hoping Aya lives to be another year older much less Ju.   Goes back to eating breakfast.

Secrets, Lies and Heartfelt Confessions- part 4

Amaya quickly snatched her hand back but it was too late.  Aya had seen the hand holding.  Now all she needed was to see who had been on the other end of said hand.  She looked around the shoulder of the gentleman in front of her and her grin got even wider.

“Why Hito!  You’ve done something new with your hair!”  Naohito glared at her then sighed.

“I just got a hair cut woman.  Why are you looking at me like that?  I can’t have lunch with a co-worker?”

Aya tisked him.  “I never held hands like that with any of my co-workers and a simple lunch would never get me blushing like Amaya is.”  She made Amaya move over as she scooted in next to her.  “I want all the not so gory details.”

Amaya gave Naohito a pleading look and he relented.  He gave Amaya a smile and a nod and the woman beamed a smile back at him.  “I thought about what you said Aya and decided to give him a chance.  I haven’t regretted one minute of it.  I’ve been so happy since he came into my life.  Please don’t tell anyone.  At least not yet.  You know how they are at the hospital.”

Naohito chimed in.  “I’m sure Ju won’t be happy about it either.  I’d kind of like to not get him involved.  At least not yet.”

Aya frowned.  She just wasn’t good at keeping secrets from Ju and she didn’t want to.  Still, they wouldn’t be together if Aya hadn’t talked Amaya into giving Naohito a chance and Ju wasn’t going to like that at all.  She reluctantly nodded.

“If he presses me I’ll tell him but I won’t volunteer the information.   Know this Hito, if you hurt her I’ll gladly let him know.  He’ll be upset with me but he’s going to be after blood with you.”

Naohito took Amaya’s hand again.  “You won’t have to worry about that.  I haven’t been this happy in a very long time and I’m not planning on messing up this time.”

Amaya smiled a smile that Aya knew all too well.  It was the smile of a woman head over heels for her man.  It made her smile as well.

“I’m happy for you both.  I’ll keep your secret but I’ll warn you now.  If Ju asks me right out I won’t lie to him.  He won’t be happy but it’s not his life now is it?”  She squeezed Naohito’s shoulder then left the happy couple alone.  She had a man of her own to get home to.

Aya considered the situation on the way home.  She couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen Naohito so happy.  The man deserved a break and she was glad he’d finally found someone to make him happy.  From the way those two smiled at each other it was obvious that Amaya was just as happy with him.

Aya hadn’t mentioned the ring on Amaya’s left hand.  She’d twisted it to hide the stone but not before Aya had seen it.  It was quite a rock.  From the looks of things Aya was sure she’d be shopping for a wedding gift soon.  Ju was probably going to go ballistic but it wasn’t his life and if Naohito made Amaya happy, he’d just have to deal with it.

Her high maintenance husband was nowhere in sight when she got in.  She headed to the kitchen and put up the items she’d picked up for dinner and nibbled on a cookie just because.  She idly wondered if Ju was still down in the shop since he’d said he had some work to do on his GT.  That man and his cars.

She wandered into the bedroom to change into something more suitable for cooking in.  She found her magnificent beast asleep on the bed in only a wife beater and boxers.  She smiled, walked over to the bed and leaned down to give him a soft kiss on the forehead.  She squeaked when he suddenly pulled her down and rolled her onto her back.

“You certainly took long enough to get back.  I was getting bored.”  Aya gave him a look that made him reconsider the position he was in.  While a mild bone jumping was what he was going for, his wife’s expression promised a major one.  He was trying to decide if he had that much energy in him when Aya ran her hands into his hair and pulled him down for a breath stealing kiss of epic proportions.  The awesome dick woke up for that one and started making some demands of its own.  The most important one was getting the sexy woman under it naked.

Aya seemed to be working on that since all the squirming she was doing had caused her skirt to work its way up her thighs.  It had also caused the awesome dick to awaken to its full glory.  She was still giving him those eat at his mouth, breath stealing kisses.  Her motor was running at full throttle and he’d done nothing to start her engine but allowed her to try to kiss him silly.  He knew she could feel him hard and ready through his boxers, the tip actually peeking out through the opening.

Aya wasn’t exactly sure why she wanted him so badly.  It just came over her while she was watching him looking so innocent.   Whatever the cause she wanted him and badly.  She continued kissing him while unbuttoning her blouse so he could get at her breasts.  He didn’t need any special invitations other than seeing them and had his lips on them as soon as she released his mouth from the kiss she’d been giving him and had unclasped her bra.

While Ju was acting like a newborn on her breasts, Aya managed to wiggle out of her panties.  Her skirt had hiked its way up to her waist and was effectively out-of-the-way.  She rubbed against the tent in Ju’s boxers and knew she’d gotten his attention when he stopped moving and moaned.  Since he’d conveniently released her breasts she pulled his head down for another mind-blowing kiss.

He leaned his head against hers as he pushed his boxers down far enough to release his penis, pushed Aya’s legs up around his waist and entered her quickly.

He set a bruising pace since he knew he wouldn’t last long.  Aya was making the most delicious sounds and it was spurring him on.  He felt that familiar warning that let him know he was about to blow when his wife went “Oh yes. Right there.”   She said it with a hitch in her voice that he knew all too well.  He made sure he was hitting that spot dead on when he came, his wife shuddering beneath him as she had her climax also.

He just collapsed on her, trying to draw a breath and think coherent thoughts.  He stayed like that for a few minutes before slowly and carefully rolling off of her.  They looked at each other for a moment before they both broke into wide smiles.  Nothing like good sex to make everything right in the world.

He watched contentedly as she got up, divested herself of her now very wrinkled clothes and headed into the bathroom for a quick shower.   He pulled his boxers up, put his hands behind his head and sighed happily.  He was enjoying this lack of drama and work.  He looked over at the night stand and wondered if he should wait until after dinner.  The decision was made when his wife came out of the bathroom in water and a very small towel.

She leered at him and he swallowed.  Yep.  He was going to be dessert no matter what he did so he decided that then was as good a time as any.  He motioned her over and told her to lay down and close her eyes. He pulled open the drawer to the nightstand and took out a small box.

Aya didn’t know what Ju was up to so when she felt something cold against one ankle it made her jump.

“You can open your eyes now beautiful.”

Aya did and looked down at the ankle Ju was holding.  On it was a delicate ankle bracelet with infinity hearts like the necklace he’d gotten her a few years ago only this had no diamonds in it.

“Happy birthday.”  Aya pulled him down for a kiss after taking a good look at the anklet which Ju appreciated since she raised her leg up at one point forgetting that very small towel was very small indeed.  She grinned when she noticed where he was looking.

“Down big boy.  You just had your treat.  Dinner first, then I’ll give you your anniversary gift, then dessert.”  She waggled her eyebrows in a fair imitation of him.

He slid onto the bed next to her and pulled off the towel, tossing it across the room.  “You mean that wasn’t my gift?  It’s not like you to start your engine before you’ve barely gotten into the room.  I don’t mind of course.  You put the happy in happy sex.”  He was putting his hands in some strategic places while he talked.

Aya slapped at his hands.  “Quit it.  You need some down time and I need to fix dinner.  I’m starving.  Need all the fuel I can get to keep up with you.”  She gave him a quick kiss then climbed out of bed and pulled on some panties and a bra.  She had pulled out a shift to put on when Ju’s phone rang.  He seriously considered not answering but a look from Aya made him at least look to see who was calling.  It was Toshi and he’d just keep calling until Ju answered.  Best to get it out of the way sooner then later.

“What’s up dude?  Make it quick.  I’m busy.”  He watched his wife getting dressed.  “Or about to be busy.”  He held his phone from his ear as Toshi and from the sound of it, Yoichi both shouted “Happy Anniversary!”  Aya was laughing when her phone rang.  She looked and it was Yoichi.  She shook her head as she answered.

“Happy Birthday Mom!  I got you a gift.  It should be arriving just about now.”  Aya looked up as the doorbell rang.  “What did you do Yoichi?”  He just laughed.  “Enjoy it. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”

Ju watched Aya go answer the door.  “I’m sure you know what’s going on Toshi.  Spill.”

“If I tell you it won’t be a surprise.  I came up with the anniversary gift and Yoichi the gift for Aya’s birthday.  Enjoy.”  He hung up.  He could hear Aya talking to someone so he pulled on a pair of jeans and a tee-shirt and went to see what was up.  What was up was a catering service delivery.  All of their favorite foods were on display in the living room where a group of people were placing them on the table.  A chilled bottle of champagne was in an ice bucket, plastic but made to look like a silver one.  All of the food containers plus the plates and silverware were disposable but looked like the real deal.  Aya was standing in the floor holding a large bouquet of roses and a box of her favorite cookies that was almost as big as she was.  Yoichi and Toshi had pulled out all the stops.

Aya put the roses in water while Ju escorted the catering people out the door.  She called Yoichi and thanked him for everything.  After she hung up she turned to find Ju smiling at her with his hands behind his back.  She eyed him suspiciously.

“Your hiding something.  What are you up to now?  You already gave my gift right?”

“I gave you two actually if you count that awesome orgasm as one.”  He laughed at the glare that got him.  “I guess this can wait until after we eat.”  He knew his wife and now that something was dangled in front of her she’d want to know and not wait.

“Juuuu!  I want to know now.  Please?  You know I’ll just bug you until you show me.”  She was trying to look around him as she talked but he kept his back and his hands away from her.  He finally took pity on her and gave her what he was hiding.  He was hungry too and she wouldn’t sit to eat until she had her other gift.

Aya looked at the jewelry box wondering what could be in it since he’d just given her the ankle bracelet.  She opened it and gasped.  Inside was a diamond tennis bracelet.  She had seen it in the store and had sighed over it many a time.  She teared up as Ju put it around her wrist.

“It’s beautiful Ju.  I love you.”  She hugged him and kissed him.  She put all the love she could in that kiss.

“Happy Anniversary baby.  You’ve put up with a lot from me this year with all the touring and stuff.  I knew how much you wanted one so I saved a little something from each check I got so I could get it for you.”

Aya hugged him again and wiped the tears off her cheeks.  “Your gift is in your studio.  I’m sorry it’s not as elaborate as your gifts.  I just hope you’ll like it.”

Ju grinned, gave her ass a squeeze then hurried downstairs.  He couldn’t fathom what she could have gotten him that would require her to leave it in the studio.  He was downstairs for so long Aya almost went to check on him.  When he came back up he just stood and looked at her for so long Aya was worried that she’d done the wrong thing.

She was about to say something when she heard a yip and Ju’s gift came bounding around his legs and straight for her.  She bent down and picked up the little French bulldog.  “His name is Apollo.  I know you’ve always wanted a pup and since he was available and house broken I said why not.  He and Sona seem to get along so…Happy Anniversary!”  She put Apollo down and he went bounding over to Ju all happy and energetic.  Ju picked him up and held him out at arms length.

“Dude.  You and me are going to be best buds as long as you don’t chew up my clothes.  I thought you said a dog was too much trouble.  Oh and don’t think I didn’t notice the new bass case you got me.  What made you think of that?”

“I overheard you talking to Toshi about how that new monster you had made didn’t fit easily in any of your cases so I got his help to find one that you could use.”

Ju put Apollo down who promptly started exploring the flat.  He took Aya into his arms and gave her a breath stealer.  “Food, walk the dog, dessert and you.  Sounds like a great way to celebrate our anniversary.  I love you woman.”

Apollo voiced his approval with some yips and a tail chase which got Sona up from her nap.  She looked down at the dog with some disdain but didn’t kick up a fuss.  The Ichihara’s sat down to a delicious meal then took Apollo out for a stroll.  Once the animals were down for the night, Ju and his wife reminded each other just how much they loved one another.

Secret, Lies and Heartfelt Confessions part 3: The Conversation

•May 8, 2016 • Leave a Comment

Ju gently combed his fingers through Aya’s hair.  Dinner and dancing had been a big hit with his wife and she’d allowed him to jump her bones with a passion.  She was still distracted though and all the slight prompting by him couldn’t get her to talk about what was bothering her.  He vowed to call Hana once the session he had in the morning was over.  Right now though, his wife was sleeping peacefully and far as he was concerned all was right with the world.

She was still distracted the next day but Ju didn’t press it.  He didn’t want her angry with him.  He just hugged her longer than normal and gave her a soft kiss before he left, telling her he’d be out later than usual.  She smiled and nodded but didn’t ask why.  Ju knew for sure something was up then.  He hoped H didn’t keep them late for a different reason than usual.

Aya did the dishes after Ju left then settled at the table with a cup of tea.  She hated calling her mom usually.  The woman never missed an opportunity to insult Ju and get Aya angry.  While she loved her parents, she loved her husband also and wished that her mother at least would be polite if nothing else.  Her dad got over his dismay with her choice of mates after he saw how well Ju took care of her and how happy he made her.  He did make her happy.  Just thinking of him always put a smile on her face.  She resisted the urge to send him a text.  It would just make him worry.

She looked at her cellphone and sighed.  No use putting it off.  She was reaching for her phone when it rang, startling her.  Her mother was on the other end.

“Good morning Aya-mei.  It’s your mother.  We need to talk.  Is that man around?”

When Aya answered no, the line went dead and there was a knock at the door.  Aya kept saying hello into the phone as she walked to the door.  She opened it to find her mother in all her imperial attitude standing there.  Aya thought a few choice words, said a silent prayer thanking the gods that Ju wasn’t there and put a smile on her face.

“Hello mother.  Fancy seeing you here.”

Ju and company were putting the finishing touches on one of the recordings.  H was satisfied after he listened to it and the guys took a short break before proceeding.  Ju took the break to give Hana a call to see when they could meet up.  He didn’t tell her why and very happily allowed her to think he was planning a surprise for his wife which he was in a way.  She should know better than to think he’d let anything keep her down for long without doing all he could to solve the problem.  If he had known what was happening at the flat, he would have left H wondering what the devil was going on and made a beeline home.

Aya’s mother walked in and looked around frowning.  “I see you’ve bought some new furniture.  It’s about time.  What you had before was unacceptable.”  She took a seat on the sofa while Aya bristled.  She asked if she wanted tea through clinched teeth.  She was hoping the woman would say no.  It would mean she wasn’t planning on being there long.  When she accepted, Aya sighed inwardly.

She went into the kitchen and pulled out her formal tea set.  She knew her mother.  Nothing less than tea served formally would please her.  While she was there she called her dad and let him know that her mom was there in her most imperious mood.  She knew he’d come and get her.  Even he didn’t like her much when she was in one of those moods.

The tea made, Aya headed back into the living room.  Her mother was busy running her fingers over the furniture checking for dust.  Aya smiled.  The place was immaculate and even her mother couldn’t find fault.  She placed the set down on the table and began making the tea.  She knew her mother wouldn’t start talking until that was done and she’d taken her first sip.

Her mother watched her carefully and nodded her approval before picking up a cup and taking a sip.  She decided that the tea was acceptable and gave her daughter a long look before speaking.

“When were you planning on telling me that your husband had fathered a child?”

Aya took a sip of tea and considered what to say.  At least her mom hadn’t said “that man” which was as good a sign as any that the tirade wouldn’t be too bad.  That being said, there was going to be one.  This was her mom after all.  She looked up at the sound of her name.  She took a deep, calming breath then began to talk.

She placed her tea down on the table.  “Mother, if I had told you as soon as I found out we both know that you would have labeled Ju a child deserter, an unfit parent, or any number of unkind and untrue things.  I love you but I did not want to have to deal with that.  Sometimes facts have a hard time getting through to you once you’ve decided something.”  She raised a suspicious eyebrow when her mother let that pass with just a sniff.

“You can at least give me some details or I really will come up with my own version of the facts.”

Aya sighed and took another sip of tea.  “Ju and Yoichi’s mother, that’s his name Yoichi, were a couple their last year of high school.  Apparently from all accounts she was jealous and possessive boarding on psychotic.  If Ju is with you, he’s with you.  Messing around on a woman he is in a relationship with is just not in his makeup.   She couldn’t seem to grasp that and the two parted ways.  From my understanding it was not a nice parting either.  Ju didn’t find out until a little while ago that she was pregnant when they parted ways.  Her mother and his father gave her money for an abortion since they both felt that they were two young to be raising a child.  She took the money and opened a small diner.  She’d moved out of town to go to college.  She was there when she realized she was expecting.  She had the baby and raised him without actually telling him who his father was.   We found out when she passed.  She left letters for both of them.”

Her mother eyed her.  “If he was having unprotected sex, how can you be sure he only has the one child?  There could be a lot of little Ichihara bastards running around.  That man is so irresponsible…”

Aya cut her off.  “The condom broke.  Now if you want this conversation to continue I would suggest you curb your need to look down on my husband.”

When her mother said nothing more Aya narrowed her eyes.  Her mother was up to something but for the life of her she couldn’t figure out what.

Ju made a hasty departure when H said they could leave.  He could just catch Hana before her lunch break was over if he hurried.  He wished he had his bike but he didn’t.  He climbed into the Porsche and peeled out of the parking garage like the demons of hell were chasing him.  After a few near misses and some very nasty comments aimed at him, he managed to get to the hospital just as Hana was taking her tray to the waste bin.

Hana smiled at him and gave him a big hug.  They talked as she walked back to her station.  She got a concerned look on her face when he told her what was up.

“I know she wasn’t looking forward to the conversation, not that I blame her, but I didn’t know it was bothering her that much.”

Ju gave her an exasperated look.  “What conversation?  With who?”

“Her mother found out about Yoichi.  To say she’s not pleased would be an understatement of monumental proportions.  I told Aya she wouldn’t be able to keep that secret long.  I can understand why she didn’t tell her though.  You know how her mother feels about you.”  She laughed when Ju mumbled that the feeling was mutual.

He thanked Hana then left.  If he knew his wife she would be on the phone taking the heat as soon as she could.  Better to get it over with.  Knowing Aya’s mom, Aya would need some cheering up so he stopped and got her a dozen roses and some of her favorite cookies then headed home.

When he got home the flat was empty but he found a note from Aya saying that she was down the street visiting Yoichi.  Ju smiled.  If nothing else the young man would cook and since he was hungry he headed down the street with the flowers and the cookies.   Good food, his lovely and hopefully soon to be very happy wife, what more could a man ask for?  What he found when he got there was closer to an episode of the twilight zone then reality.

Aya answered the door when he knocked.  She gave him a long look and a kiss when he gave her the flowers and the cookies.  Then she hugged him and didn’t seem to want to let go.  He knew then that the conversation hadn’t gone well.  He put his arm around her and walked into a scene that he wasn’t expecting.  Yoichi was surrounded by old ladies.  He seemed more stunned than anything else.  They were tittering and fluttering around him like bees.  When he saw his dad he gave him a please help me look.  Ju frowned then looked down at his wife.

“What in the hell is going on here and who are all these biddies?”  Aya glared at them.

“Those old biddies are members of my mother’s flower society club.  It seems that one of them found out that you were Yoichi’s dad and asked my mother, said with a lot of bitterness, why she hadn’t told them about her grandson and if they could meet him.  She came to see me right after you left and after making a few degrading remarks about you proceeded to chew my rear off stating that since I couldn’t have any children I should have told her that she had a step-grandson especially a famous one.   Then she demanded to meet him.  What I didn’t know was that these…women were waiting for a call from her to descend on Yoichi.”

It was then that Aya’s mom looked up and saw Ju.  She walked over to him and spoke through clinched teeth.

“I see you are good for something.  He is a handsome and polite young man despite whose genes he has.  Ah I see you’ve brought cookies to go with the tea and flowers for the table.  You can put them over there.”  With that she turned and was walking away from him when Ju exploded.  Aya tried to calm him down.  He was having none of it.

“You just wait right there you old battle-axe.   I’ve taken all the insults I intended to take from you.  First you upset the woman I love then you descend on my son with your cronies like a plague.  You are only here because he’s an actor.  If he’d been a regular guy no matter how handsome or polite, you would have shunned him because he’s my son.   He’s being polite.  I have no intention to.  You and that gaggle of harpies out!  Now!”

He handed the flowers and cookies to Aya and opened the front door.  “Get out!  All of you!  If I see as much as a hat pin from any of you hanging around here I’m going to show you that I truly am a barbarian like that harpy friend of yours likes to call me.  Out! Out!”

Aya’s mother turned to her.  “Are you going to let him talk to me, to us like that?  I am your mother after all.”

“Then you should start acting like it.”  They all turned at the voice in the door.  Aya’s dad was standing there and Aya would have to think real hard to remember when she’d seen him that mad.

“I saw Ju when he walked down here.  All of you should be ashamed.  You’ve treated Aya’s husband like a common criminal for no reason at all then you come over here fawning over his son because of what he is.”  He walked in and took his wife by the arm.

“I’m sorry Aya.  You’re mother and her friends are leaving.”  He looked at his wife and whatever expression he had made her blanch.  “We are going to have a long talk when we get home and you aren’t going to like one word if it.  Aya, Ju I’m very sorry.”

He was about to leave when Yoichi spoke up.  “We haven’t been formally introduced.  I’m Yoichi.  Ju is my dad and your daughter is my step-mom.  It is a pleasure to meet you at least.  One day when things calm down I’d like to get to know my step-grandfather if you don’t mind.”

Aya’s dad smiled.  “I’d love to.  I’m very sorry for my wife’s poor behavior.  It will not happen again.”  There was a finality to that statement that made Aya’s eyebrows rise.  Yep.  Her dad was well and truly pissed and he didn’t even know the half of it.

By this time the other ladies had fled the scene.  They were waiting by Aya’s mom’s car since they’d all ridden together.  Aya’s dad told her mom to drop them off and come straight home or else.  She nodded and hurried off to do as she was told.  Aya’s dad gave her a hug, winked at Ju and waved bye to all three then headed to his own car.  It took a lot to get her dad mad but when he got there he was a monster.  Better her mom then her.

Aya was brought from her musings by the sound of her name being called.  Ju had taken a seat at the dinner table with Yoichi and was waiting for Aya to come join them.  He looked up at her when she leaned over to get a kiss and she smiled.  “You are the most handsome man in the world but if I don’t get my cookies there’s going to be trouble.”

Ju turned to Yoichi.  “See I told you she’d come looking for the things.  Sit woman.  Yoichi managed to cook a little something before the ladies and I use the term loosely, invaded his home.  He says there’s enough for us all.”  He got serious once she’d taken a seat.

“Are you okay baby?  That woman would try a saint’s patience.  I’ll apologize if you want me to but only if you want me to.  I don’t like her and how she treats you.  I will not apologize for feeling that way though.”

Aya took his hand and squeezed it.  “I love you Junichiro and she’ll either deal with it or she won’t.  That’s her problem.  Now let’s eat.  I have a knight in shining armor to thank properly for the flowers and the cookies which I might share if you are very good.”

Ju smiled widely.  “Oh I’m going to be the best knight you’ve ever had.”   Both Aya and Yoichi groaned at the pun.

Aya clued Yoichi in on her parents and to expect her mother to be very contrite when she called to apologize and considering how mad her dad was, Aya was sure that she would.

Ju was curious.  “Okay I know how your mother can be but where did the rest of them come from?”

“My mother talked me into introducing her to Yoichi.  Those biddies were in the car.  I had no idea Yoichi.  I’m so sorry.”

Yoichi waved it off as he started serving out dinner.  “You didn’t know so don’t worry about it.  At least I know why I’ve never met my grandparents so to speak.  I think your dad and I might get along just fine but I doubt if I’ll ever like you mom much.  Sorry.”

Aya just shrugged.  “You can pick your friends but you’re stuck with your family.  Dad will keep mom in check so don’t worry about it.  Now let’s eat.  The food smells delicious and from the rumbling coming from my husband I’d say he’s very hungry.”

Ju’s stomach let out a loud growl as if to agree with that statement which got them all laughing.   Dinner was great.  Ju and Aya had dessert after they got home and Ju’s performance as Aya’s knight was a hit for them both.

Aya’s mom called and apologized the next day to Ju, Aya and Yoichi and promised that she would only come visit if invited and her friends had sworn not to reveal where Yoichi lived or visit unless invited.  Aya’s dad had threatened to reveal some secrets that none of the ladies wanted known especially by their husbands.

Things were relatively calm after that.  Ju had a few shows, Aya a few jobs and the two had time do what they did best and that was love each other.

With all that was going on Aya had forgotten all about Amaya and her secret love.  That was until she ran into her at the bistro she liked.  She had run in to grab some of the cookies she liked and who did she see sitting in a corner booth holding hands but Amaya and her love.  The only problem was he had his back to her.  She walked over and spoke surprising Amaya and grinned.

“Well hello there.  Fancy meeting you here.”

Secrets, Lies and Heartfelt Confessions part 2

It was late in the afternoon before Ju saw the text from Aya.  He frowned a little wondering what had prompted the text since “I love you”  was all she sent.  He knew his wife.  She only sent him those three words alone if something upset her and thinking of him made her feel better.   He couldn’t imagine what could have upset her since she was just having lunch with Amaya and Hana.

He shrugged, sent “I love you too woman” back at her and figured she’d tell him or not.  One thing he did know was that she usually wanted some slow and gentle lovemaking after one of those types of declarations.  He had no problem with that.  Now if that slave driving boss of his would let them out of there he’d be a happy man.

As it turned out H was about done and Ju made haste to get home to his wife.  He found her just finishing up the dinner dishes when he got in.  She gave him a big smile and a kiss before hugging him for a long moment.

“Should I be worried?  It’s not like you to send me those three words alone.  What got you so upset?”

Aya just held him around the waist.  “It was nothing really.  A sad memory is all.  Thinking of you made me smile again.”  She looked up for another kiss which he gladly gave her.

He grabbed his covered plate from the frig and popped it into the microwave.    “So what’s up with the two ladies?  Life being kind?  How’s Amaya doing at the hospital?”

Aya sat down at the table with a cup of tea.  “Everyone is fine.  Amaya’s blending in with the staff well.  She put that asshole doctor in his place but other than that she seems to be getting along with everyone she should be and ignoring those she shouldn’t.  You know the group.  Hana says hello.”

Ju sat down with his dinner and a beer.  “All she said was hello?  No smart remarks?  No horrific new names for me?  The woman is slipping.”

Aya grinned.  “Not today.  I think she may have hit her stride with that walking orgasm name.   I think they’re cute.”

Ju just grunted at that and ate his dinner.  Whatever had bothered his pretty little wife she seemed to want to keep to herself.  He wasn’t going to push the issue.  Instead he kept her entertained with stories about the session.

He was mildly surprised that no shopping had ensued.  When he asked her about it she informed him that Hana had to get back to the club and Amaya had to go to work.

“I didn’t feel like going alone and I really don’t need anything so I just came on home but if you want I’m sure I can find something to buy tomorrow.”

She giggled at the glare that got from her man.  She went around to his chair, waited for him to push it back, then crawled into his lap.  “You do know that if I’m tired, I won’t go shopping.  Maybe you can help with that situation.”

Ju acted like he was thinking about it.  “What do I get out of the deal?”  He grinned at the look he got from his wife.  “Ohhh!  I get that?  Let me think about it first and I’ll….ouch!  That hurt woman!  You know jumping your bones is the most favorite part of my day…next to eating, having a few beers, watching a soccer match.  Hey?  Where are you going?  Come back here you little minx.”

He grabbed his wife around the waist as she tried to slip out of his lap.  “You know if I had my way the only thing I’d do all day is have you in my arms now stop squirming and give your magnificent beast a kiss.”  She gave him the kiss but she didn’t stop the squirming and the awesome one was very pleased at that.

After a couple more kisses Aya did manage to get away from her amorous husband long enough to clean up his dirty dishes.  He then proceeded to chase her around the flat until she was ready to be caught.  Just as he predicted their love-making was slow and gentle.  Aya was all soft caresses and light kisses.  When they were done she snuggled against him like she was afraid he’d leave.  Ju would have given a show’s worth of salary to find out what had prompted this but since his wife didn’t want to talk about it, he didn’t push it.  He just wrapped her in his arms until she fell asleep before letting sleep claim him as well.

The next morning when Aya awoke, her magnificent beast had already left for his session.  She showered and got dressed.  She thought about her phone conversation with Naohito as she did.

“Hello Hito.  Long time no talk to.  How are you?  When were you going to tell me about you and Amaya?”

Naohito looked at his phone and sighed.  “Hello Aya.  I’m fine thank you and I can’t tell you about me and Amaya if there’s no me and Amaya.  Where in the world did you get the idea that we were an item?”

“Oh I don’t know Hito.  The fact that you didn’t chase her after she started working at the hospital was my first clue and her being so closed mouth about it.  It just sounded strange that considering your interest before she started working there, that after she got the job all you’ve been is polite  when you’ve seen her.”

“You’ve been talking to that cousin of yours haven’t you?  That woman.  If I didn’t know better I’d swear you guys were twins.  You look alike and think alike.  But no.  I’ve been too busy to be courting someone.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a meeting to get to.  Call me later in the week and we can have lunch if that man you married will allow…wait.  Forget I even thought that.  As if you’d need permission from anyone.  Give me a call and we can have lunch.  I’d enjoy talking to you and getting some ideas about fundraisers.  You didn’t think I’d swing for lunch for nothing did you?  I’ll talk to you later Aya.  Bye.”

Aya looked at her phone and grinned.  He hadn’t convinced her at all.  She was going to grill him good when they had lunch and if she didn’t hear from him in a few days she was just going to show up at the hospital and ambush him.

That was twenty-four hours ago and Aya was having a few doubts about him and Amaya.  Maybe she had read him wrong but she really didn’t think so.  For starters he hadn’t called her once to have her put in a good word for him or to find out if she’d talked to Amaya about their past since Ju had spilled the beans.  It just wasn’t in Naohito’s nature to give up anything without a fight.  Then there was Amaya’s reluctance to say who she was dating.  She probably knew that Ju wouldn’t be happy about it and she could be uncertain how Aya herself would react.  Saying it was okay was one thing.  It being true was another.  Then there was the fact that Ju was going to be upset with her if the things she’d said to Amaya had convinced the woman to go out with the man.  He’d been specific when he told her to stay out of it.

She sighed.  Well at least there was Hana’s good news.  She couldn’t wait until Hana spilled the beans to Acchan so she could celebrate outright.  She hoped that they had the little boy they wanted.

Meanwhile.

H eyed Ju suspiciously.  The man had been bouncing all over the place and it was tiring H out just watching him.  He finally pulled him to the side and told him he was gonna give him a sedative if he didn’t calm down.  Ju just grinned.

“Can’t a guy be in a good mood around here without the sedative police showing up?   The sessions are going well considering the amount of bitching you aren’t doing.  No long tours here or abroad so I have time to spend at home with my adoring wife.  The shop is doing well without me.  What’s not to be happy about?  When I’m extra happy I show it.”

H just shook his head.  “I’m sure your adoring wife had a lot to do with you being so happy.  You two.  Right now, you’re working my nerves.  Get out of here.  We’re done anyway and I could use the rest from watching you bounce around out of control.”

Ju grinned, saluted and made a hasty exit in case H changed his mind.   He was going to treat his woman to a night out and hopefully another round of bone jumping.

His woman was looking at old photos and thinking she’d lucked up.  Her man was tall, thin, handsome, sexy and talented.  If he had a little more booty he’d be dangerous.  That was just the outside stuff.  He had a good heart, a great sense of humor and could kiss a corpse back to life.  She wasn’t even going to go into how good he was in bed.

She smiled when she heard the Porsche pull up.  The thing was almost as noisy as his bike.  She wondered just how tired he was.  The idea of jumping his bones was crossing her mind.  She at least wanted to get some of those corpse rejuvenating kisses.

Ju couldn’t suppress the smile on his face when he saw Aya standing in the door waiting for him.   He knew that look and licked his lips.  He had been wondering if he was going to have to chase his lovely wife around a bit before he jumped her bones.  From the smile on her face he thought not.  He walked in and got into her face.

“Yes?”

Aya put her arms around his neck and pulled him down for a major breath-stealer.  When they broke for air Ju commented.  “I take that for a yes and I haven’t even told you I’m taking you out for dinner.  That’s if you don’t mind Acchan’s.  I’m not up for fancy tonight.  Dinner, a little dancing, then a serious have at you.  All you have to do is nod.”

Not only did Aya nod, she gave him a few have at you kisses then went to change.  Ju figured if he followed her they’d never make it to Acchan’s and he was hungry so he just cooled his jets on the sofa until she made her reappearance.  When she did he just sat there with his mouth hanging open.

His wife was wearing some hip-hugging jeans that hugged her hips very nicely and a slinky cowl-necked shell that barely hid her midriff.  Between the shortness of the shell and how low the pants were riding on her hips, he could catch a glimpse of smooth skin and on that skin was the tattoo of a small butterfly.

Ju couldn’t believe his eyes.  He watched as his wife walked over to him flashing that tattoo.  When she got close enough he lifted her shell to get a good look at it.  He looked up at her and grinned.

“You had me going there for a minute.  Temp?”  Aya smiled and nodded.

“I just wanted to see what one would look like and what your reaction would be.”  She giggled when Ju kissed the butterfly.  It tickled.

“It’s sexy.  Be thankful I’m hungry woman or I’d be peeling you out of that outfit now instead of later.  Let’s go.  I wanna show off my pretty princess, get fed, then get up close and personal.”

Aya gave him a kiss for that, which made him moan and seriously consider changing his plans but his stomach made its displeasure known with a loud gurgling which sent his wife into a round of giggles.

“Come on handsome.  Let’s go feed that monster so we can take care of the other one later.”Ju grinned and the pair headed out to Acchan’s.

When they got there, Acchan was busy passing out beers and pounding people on the back.  Hana was standing off to the side of the bar all smiles.   When Acchan spotted Ju he made a beeline for him and Aya, a spritzer in one hand and a beer in the other.

“Just the people I wanted to see!  Guess what?  I’m gonna be a dad!  Well a dad again!  Hana’s expecting!  Isn’t it great?”

Aya hugged him then went to see Hana while Ju pounded him on the back hard enough to move him a few steps.

“It’s about time you old dog.  Eri’s what, three now?  Hope it’s a boy but another girl will be fine as long as she takes after her mom.  Hell the boy better take after her too.  Wouldn’t wish your mug on anyone.  Ouch!  That hurt!  Seriously dude.  Congratulations!”

Hana grinned when Aya came into view.  She hugged her cousin who nodded toward the two men.  “I thought you were going to wait a couple of days before you told him.  What happened?”

Hana sighed.  “Kimchi and morning sickness happened.  I just had to have some last night and well this morning…it’s about the only thing I hated about being pregnant.  I hope it’ll pass as quickly as it did with Eri but I know that every pregnancy is different.”  She checked Aya’s outfit out.  “You’re looking awfully sexy tonight.  Planning on ambushing that man candy you married?”

Aya laughed.  “Ju was saying you were slipping because you hadn’t come up with anything new to call him.  Man candy.  He’s gonna do some serious cringing with that one.  I’m beginning to think you only come up with these names because you know he’ll be horrified.”

“Of course I do.  It’s fun.  Oh ho!  What’s this?”  She lifted Aya’s shell an inch and whistled.  “You?  A tattoo?  It looks like you’ve had it for a while.  No.  It’s a temp!  What made you get one?”

Aya shrugged.  “I wanted to see what Ju’s reaction would be if I had a tat.  I’ll find out later if you get my meaning.”

Hana shook her head.  “You’ve spoiled that man terribly.  You know that right?  That’s so unlike you actually.”

Aya looked back at Ju who was holding a lively conversation with Acchan and a couple of their other friends.

“I’ve been thinking about that the past couple of days.  He saved my life in a sense.  I was just going through the motions of being happy and whole but after I met him and we started dating I knew I’d been fooling myself.   There was a hole in my soul that losing my baby caused.  He filled that hole so neatly, so completely, that I never really longed for any children.  I had him and it made me so happy that I didn’t think I had room for anyone else.  Then he gave me Yoichi.  I didn’t tell you that he called me mom the last time we talked and that life I thought was full got even fuller.  If I’ve spoiled Ju it’s because he deserves to be.  I’m his number one fangirl and he’s my best friend and the love of my life.  And since he’s headed this way I’d better make sure there’s some food coming.  My baby is starving.”

Hana hugged her cousin and wiped the tears from her eyes.  “I’ll have two specials made up.  Oh and you need to call your mom.  You bringing up Yoichi made me remember.  She just found out who he is.  I don’t envy you having to have that conversation.  Now go give your man a kiss and keep him distracted until the food arrives.”

Aya sighed.  She’d been avoiding her mom.  She’d never told her about Yoichi for fear that she’d start ranting about Ju being an unfit parent and the like.  She knew the conversation was going to be rough.  She put a smile on her face and waited for Ju to get in her personal space.  She gave him a quick kiss and let him know dinner was on the way.

Ju put his arms around her for a quick hug.  He could tell something was up and it wasn’t good.  Hopefully she’d tell him.  If not he was going to grill that cousin of hers.  He wasn’t about to let his baby be upset and not know or be able to do anything about it.  But for the moment he was content knowing that he would do anything and everything in his power to make sure she was happy.

Secrets, Lies and Heartfelt Confessions pt 1

Aya was brushing her hair when Ju ambled out of the bathroom.  She eyed him warily as he headed  over to the bed and began dressing.  He’d jumped her bones like an eighteen year old hopped up on Spanish fly all week.  After putting on his boxers and a wife-beater he gave her a grin.  She pointed her brush at him.

“If that thing even twitches in my direction I’m gonna swat you.”   He laughed and fell back on the bed, arms outstretched.  “Abuse me baby.”

Aya walked over and looked down at him.  “You’ll be singing a different song if I swat the right place.”  Ju got a look of horror on his face and covered his privates.  “You wouldn’t.”

Aya grinned.  “No I wouldn’t but I had you going for a minute.”  She squeaked when he made a grab for her.  She managed to elude him and went back to her cosmetics table and started applying some make up.  She shook her head when her husband started talking to the awesome one.

“She didn’t mean it.  You know she’d never do anything to hurt you.”

“Ju, you have issues I don’t even want to contemplate.  How about you stop playing with yourself and come give your wife a kiss before she leaves.”

He looked up at that.  “So where’s my beautiful barbarian off to?”

“I’m having lunch with Hana and Amaya today.   I shouldn’t be out very long.  What time are you due in the studio?”

Ju gave his wife a quick kiss before answering.  “I’ve got another two hours before I have to be there.  Hopefully I’ll be home before you turn in but if not make sure you leave me something to eat in case that slave driver forgets to feed us.”

Aya nodded, gave her beast another kiss then hurried out in case he changed his mind and decided he had time to jump her bones again.  She honestly didn’t know what had gotten into the man.  She really didn’t mind all that much since he was so damn good at jumping her bones but she had to draw the line somewhere or the man would be insufferable.

Aya made the right move.  Ju was seriously considering going at her again.  He filed the thought away for later and finished getting dressed.  Since he had some time to kill he headed down to the shop to see what was going on down there.  He spent some time talking to the guys and checking on Ichi and Tomo.  Since things seemed to be going well, he pulled the Porsche out of the garage, put the top down and headed to the studio.

He put the car through its paces and was pleased with the performance.  When he got to the studio, he pulled into the garage and parked next to H’s Lamborghini.  It was flashy but his Porsche was no slouch either.  He put the top up, locked the car then went in to what he hoped was a short session.  He had plans to ambush his wife again.  The thought made him smile.

While Ju was working and contemplating ambushes, his wife was entertaining her lunch companions with stories about her trip to the UK.   None of them had really had much of a chance to talk since she got back so gossip was at the front and center of their conversations.  It was when they got around to talking about Valentine’s day that things got really interesting.

“That was the best advice in the world Amaya.  Thank you.   He loved being the king of the world and I enjoyed making him one.”  Amaya laughed at the expression Aya got on her face at the memory.

“You are quite welcome.  I’m sure you enjoyed the aftermath also if that look is any indication.”  Hana looked between the two ladies.

“What did I miss?”  Aya clued her in.  Hana just laughed.  “Aya, that man would be happy if you just smiled at him.  And before you start denying it, remember.  I’ve seen him walk into things after you’ve smiled at him a certain way.  Why you get all stressed out about these things is beyond me.”

Amaya giggled.  “See?  I told you.  You have nothing to worry about when it comes to your man.”  Aya gave her a long look.  “Well?”

Amaya suddenly found the lunch menu very interesting.  “Well what?”

“Give woman.  I want to know who the lucky guy is.”  Hana leaned in, all ears.

Amaya blushed.  “I’ve got nothing to say except he really liked his gift.”  She got a devilish twinkle in her eyes.  “I mean, really like it.”

Hana laughed.  “Looks like you enjoyed it more than he did.  You know we’ve got a pool going at work.  Everyone is curious about your love interest.  We know you’ve got one.  No woman walks around with that type of glow without there being another person involved.  Last I checked that cute surgeon that started around the time you did is leading two to one.”

Amaya shook her head then turned to Aya.  “You see what I’m up against?  Now can you understand why I’m keeping his identity to myself?  When the time comes you guys will be the first to know.  Now can we change the subject?”  When both ladies shook their heads no, Amaya sighed.

Aya decided to give her friend a break and turned to Hana.  “So, have you told Acchan yet?”  Hana just stared at her.  “How?”  Aya pointed at her lunch.  “The only time I’ve ever seen you eat kimchi was when you were pregnant with Eri.  You normally won’t go near the stuff.”

Hana smiled.  “I just confirmed it myself.  We had talked about me having another child a little while ago and with Eri three years old now, it’s about time.   We’re hoping for a little brother for Eri.  Acchan is going to be so excited.”

Both ladies congratulated Hana.  Aya really was happy for her cousin.  For a brief moment she wondered how things would have been if she’d had her baby.  He would have been a grown man by now but she probably wouldn’t have had her magnificent beast.  The fact that she did made her happy.  She pulled out her phone and sent him a text saying she loved him.  She looked up at a cough from Hana.

She placed a hand over Aya’s.  “Things happen for a reason.  Meeting Ju saved you both and I doubt that you could be any happier than you’ve been with him and if he walked in here right now the smile you’d give him would light up the room.”

Aya hugged Hana and wiped a tear from her eye.   Amaya looked lost in thought.  “I’m not sure how you forgave him but you are a kind woman with a big heart.”

Aya shrugged.  “It was a long time ago and there were processes in motion I had no idea about but enough of this.  I’ve got a great step-son, a beautiful god-daughter, hopefully soon a godson and a magnificent beast that I love to pieces.  My life is full and I couldn’t be happier.  The only thing I need to know now is who has your eye.”

Amaya stood firm despite being grilled by her friends.  When she left they still didn’t know who she was dating.  Aya leaned over to Hana once Amaya was gone.  “So what’s the gossip at the hospital saying?”

“She’s been out with a number of doctors and a few interns but never more than a couple of times.  Always seems friendly but that’s all.  That asshole that chased you for so long asked but she politely and very firmly told him no.  I kind of thought that ex of yours would be after her but he’s been polite when he’s seen her but that’s all.  Of course he’s been extra busy these days what with the yearly fundraisers and all coming up.  All I know for certain is that there are days when she comes in looking like you do after that beast of yours has been at you.  Speaking of Ju, please don’t tell him I’m pregnant until after I tell Acchan.   He’d be on the phone ribbing him as soon as he found out.”

Aya nodded.  “I’ll leave the telling to Acchan.  Ju will be the second person he calls after his folks.  When are you going to tell him?  You know me and secrets.”

Hana thought about it.  “Probably later this week.  He has a couple of days off so I’m going to wine and dine him then drop the baby bomb.”

Aya laughed.  “You’d better screw his lights out first.  You know how he was with Eri.  Scared he’d break you if you guys made love.  You might want to stock up a little first.”  Hana laughed at that.

“You might have a point.  Which reminds me.  You seem to be doing some glowing yourself.  That beast you married been putting you through your paces?”

Aya blushed.  “I knew it!  That man and his libido.  And to think he was on your case about jumping his bones too much.”

Aya got the waitress attention and asked for a fresh cup of tea before commenting.  “He’s been relentless even for him.  Makes me wonder where he found that fountain of youth.  He’s been at me like he was still in his twenties.  I don’t mind really but he’s insufferable enough as it is.  This is just stoking that massive ego of his.  Still…”

Hana finished the sentence for her.  “You have no problems being ambushed constantly.  I don’t know if it’s because we are at that age but I’m more inclined to be jumped than to be left alone.  I thought we were supposed to have a cooling off period.  Oh well.  As long as the guys can keep up I’m not going to question it.  Speaking of which, it’s time for me to head back to my man.  If I hear anything more about Amaya’s possible boyfriend I’ll let you know.”

She gave Aya a hug then headed out.  Aya paid the tab then made a call.  “Hello Hito.  Long time no talk too.  How are you?  When were you going to tell me about you and Amaya?”
